Some people seem to walk in the manifest presence of the Lord Jesus. Some people no matter how life serves up hard times still seem to have Jesus’ presence and peace in their life. What are the keys to this sort of life?

KEY ONE

Be Baptized in the Spirit

This might be offensive to many of you but the presence of the Lord Jesus is a lot stronger in the life of someone that is Baptized in the Holy Spirit. You might remember that Jesus breathed on His Apostles and gave them the power of the Holy Spirit to heal and do the works of the ministry way before the Pentecost experience. So too, you can be a Christian who already has the Holy Spirit in their life, but you can be filled more. Many of the great preachers that have been in the world will testify to the power that their preaching took on AFTER they received the baptism.

KEY TWO

Put your hands back on the plow,

Many people lose the presence of the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit has told them to do something sometime in the past and the person has refused to do what they were told. From this point on they have just been playing religion, but the Holy Spirit wants you to obey the Lord Jesus and the Father.

If you go through all the motions and nothing is working, ask the Holy Spirit to give you your next direction, and obey it.

KEY THREE

Be Accountable to the leaders of your church

You cannot just be a visitor to your church. You need to be accountable and your shepherd has to have their rightful place in your life. The person who is head of your church has to be able to speak into your life and they can’t do that if you are some sort of lone ranger that is not accountable to anyone. Even the angels that have never sinned are still in rank and are accountable.

KEY FOUR

Get involved in something for God’s Kingdom

It is vital that you are not just a spectator in the Great Commission. Every person has a gift/talent and all of these needs to be implemented. If you are not doing something in your spare time to build the Kingdom or assist the Kingdom, you need to get involved. The presence /anointing of God comes to assist you in your ministry.

KEY FIVE, SIX AND SEVEN

Read the Word, Pray and Worship.

I have left these two to the end as I think most people think that these are the most importance. You can get a higher presence of the Lord though, even neglecting these three each day, and simply obeying what the Holy Spirit tells you to do. These are not the least or the last, yet if you are like me they can get neglected.
